ISUZU GIGA Truck Mounted Knuckle Boom Crane
The ISUZU GIGA truck-mounted knuckle crane is an engineering vehicle manufactured by POWERSTAR. It integrates hoisting and transportation and is divided into two parts: chassis and crane. It’s base on ISUZU GIGA chassis, which has always won the favor of the market for its quality stability, strong power, high load-bearing capacity and low fuel consumption. The knuckle crane has a three-section boom, in which the main is a two-section luffing straight boom, and the auxiliary is a one-section composite boom, which can realize four luffing forms: full extension, half extension, near extension, and far extension.

ISUZU truck-mounted crane (also called ISUZU boom crane truck, ISUZU truck with crane) is a new type of efficient lifting and transportation equipment that integrates lifting and transportation. Because of its unique characteristics of being able to lift and carry cargo, and being flexible and maneuverable, it is widely used in fields and places such as transportation, telecommunications and electricity, civil construction, cargo yards and docks, warehouses, and relocation within buildings. The ISUZU truck-mounted crane has the comprehensive functions of self-loading, self-unloading, and self-transportation. It can also be equipped with additional devices to have special functions such as grabbing bars, bulk materials, drilling, and manned working buckets, which greatly expands its use functions, truly realizing the use characteristics of one vehicle with multiple functions and efficient maneuverability.
ISUZU Truck-mounted cranes are mainly divided into two categories: telescopic boom cranes and knuckle boom cranes. The telescopic boom cannot be folded. Due to the limitations of its telescopic mechanism, it cannot telescope with load at its full length, and it has only one luffing mechanism. This limits the ability of the ISUZU telescopic boom crane to operate in a small space, and also limits its development space to medium to large tonnage.
All movements of the ISUZU knuckle boom crane trucks are fully hydraulically driven and have two luffing mechanisms. Its telescopic section has a load-retracting function, which greatly increases the operating flexibility. It is especially suitable for operating in small spaces, such as tunnels and relatively small areas, small factory buildings, etc. It can also be said that as long as the height of the working space meets the entrance and exit of the knuckle boom crane during transportation, it can complete operations in this space. Therefore, in many operating environments, when telescopic truck-mounted cranes cannot operate, the knuckle truck-mounted crane becomes the only choice. Under most conditions, the ISUZU knuckle crane can adapt well to the operations that a telescopic crane can perform, and its operating efficiency is more advantageous.
